Euston Station is the main London station for serving the west line trains travelling down the west side of the United Kingdom.
Trains can be found travelling to Euston Station from Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, where the trains only stop in Birmingham to allow for a very fast journey down to London. A typical journey down from Manchester will take you just over 2 hours, and a similar time period will be required to get you down from Liverpool to Euston Station. Glasgow will take you considerably longer, but is still only a 5 hour journey away. First class carriages can be booked on the vast majority of trains to ensure comfort on your journey down.
Euston Station can also be reached by local tube trains through London, from such places as Kings Cross, Tottenham, Paddington, Baker Street and Green Park. These trains are extremely frequent, but if you’re just making a short trip like this you may wish to rent a car as crowding is an issue on the tube.
Finally, the main London airports all connect to Euston Station – Luton, Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick – so that you can hop off a plane and straight onto a train. All you need to do then is to rent a car to take you to your hotel, or perhaps even straight to a restaurant to fill your empty stomach after a long journey – there are plenty to be found near Euston Station. For the ultra-efficient people out there, you can simply walk off your train, grab a sandwich from one of the vendors in the station before getting in your hired car.
