When you arrive at Euston Station it is very likely that you will be hit with a feeling of bewilderment. You will have just stepped into one of the largest cities in the world that is a whole mélange of vibrant cultures. London truly is an amazing city. One minute you can be wandering through a street packed full of Georgian architecture and turn the corner into a street that boasts the most modern of artistic buildings. There is so much to see and do in the city; if you want to learn about something, there is a museum on the subject, if you want to see a show it will be playing in the West End. To put it briefly, London is a city where lifelong dreams can be realised within a week or so.

Of course, if you are looking to get the most out of the city then you will need to visit as many things as possible, but this is simply not possible if you don’t have a car. Sure, the public transport system is very good but they can’t take you to the door of the museum and, in any case, it can be difficult to understand the underground if you aren’t acquainted with it. Therefore, it is essential that you hire a car as soon as you arrive at Euston. By having a car you have the whole city at your disposal; you can fill up the day with monuments, see a show in the evening and be back at the hotel in your own time.

The train has been a form of transport used for a little under 200 years. Since Robert Lewis Stephenson first built his Rocket, the dream of being able to leap onto a vehicle that will drive you hundreds of miles to another city in a few hours has been realized by thousands of people every day. Many of the people who catch the train do so from London and many of these from Euston station, one of the larger of the stations that can be found in the city. Every day, thousands of people pass through the station in order to be transported to another place in a fraction of the time that it would take you by car (the lack of traffic lights and traffic jams are a large contributory factor to this.

In spite of this large volume of people using the train, the preferred way of getting to the station is by car. If you look at the bare facts associated with parking at the station, you realize that it is the best way to get to the station. By driving there, you reduce the chance of you missing your train because, even if your average speed is only 10mph, that is still faster than if you were to walk to the station! You aren’t shattered when you catch the train after a long walk (or run if you are a bit late) and when you return from your trip, you will be able to fall into your car and drive home very quickly, as opposed to the alternative where you have to walk for half an hour before you can get home!
